Garden Wall

by Seth Jani

On the stone, the frost-hemmed
Fingerprint of the questioner
Keeps shining.
After all his obsession
With mortal things,
His beautiful confusions,
There is only this pattern of DNA
Holding out a little longer
Before the sunlight hits the wall.
