Editor’s Note: Issue 5

We include in this issue both previously published and unpublished poems as well as a portfolio of poems by the well-known American poet Jack Marshall, and a selection of poems by the late poet and critic Fred Moramarco.

We are also expanding our innovative poets’ commentaries feature, “Poets Talk.” Here you will find commentaries on their work in this issue by Jack Marshall, Donna Hilbert, and Frances Payne Adler. The disturbing and revealing photograph that accompanies Adler’s commentary is by the Israeli news photographer, Michal Fattal.

—Steve Kowit, Poetry Editor

“...we have been born here to witness and celebrate. We wonder at our purpose for living. Our purpose
is to perceive the fantastic. Why have a universe if there is no audience?” — Ray Bradbury
